Everything AI all day every day. Get on the AI train – don’t be left behind. Hallucinations. Human in the Loop.
Can you speak AI lingo? Do you have a ticket to board the AI train?
AI Explosion
The explosion of AI usage, building, and productizing is in our newsfeeds each day. AI technology will amplify going forward and, due to the creative nature of GenAI and its unpredictable outputs seeming legitimate and accurate, users will avail themselves of AI tools to save time and, at the very least, not be left behind.
However, users need savviness to navigate the AI tech tools at their fingertips. LLMs predicting the next word serve us up logical output that may be false. We do still need to be the “human in the loop” to evaluate and fact-check.
“I’m increasingly inclined to think that there should be some regulatory oversight, maybe at the national and international level, just to make sure that we don’t do something very foolish. I mean with artificial intelligence we’re summoning the demon.“
Elon Musk (2014)
Ten years ago, was Musk advocating for an international AI governance regulation or standard? Navigating each nation’s AI policy and laws is indeed challenging, and, to make matters worse in the US, states will define their own legal interpretations due to the overturning of Chevron.
Responsible AI and AI Governance
Great minds are currently working on both Responsible AI (RAI) and AI Governance on many different levels – company, industry, state, national, and international – to provide “regulatory oversight” and ethical standards for AI’s explosion. The EU AI Act will show how one international region will govern AI.
Deadlines specified in the EU AI Act are looming for companies so stay tuned to learn news of how the EU will enforce their AI regulation defined in the act.
